Q &A
What is the difference between hard gel and soft gel?
Soft gel is more porous, so it can be removed with acetone. Hard gels more resilient to chemicals, so it needs to be filed down in order to be removed. The difference comes down to works best with your anatomy.
What is considered level one art?
This is very simple art like polka dots, groovy flowers, lines, etc. Depending on the simplicity it can be done on all 10 fingers. This also includes chrome and cat eye polish. If you still aren't sure what level your art is send me the inspiration pictures via the contact form.
Do you work on other techs work?
I will work over other nail techs work. However, if you choose to not get a removal you waive the 5 day insurance policy. Some products simply don’t work well on top of others.
What is level 2 art?
This is art that is more precise and time consuming. Takes about 30 mins. Like French, tortoise shell, or a level one art style but wanted on all ten fingers. If you still aren't sure what level your art is send me the inspiration pictures via the contact form.
What are soft gel extensions? (Apres/Gelip)
These are full sized tips; much like press-ons. Except they are made from gel instead of plastic. I adhere them with gel to the natural nail. They are fillable and a great add on if a nail breaks and we want to not get rid of all that growth. They last just as long as any manicure or extension service.
What is level three art?
This level of art is for techniques that take more time either in layering or the technique that needs to be used. For example a french chrome, every nail a different art design, intense jewels, etc. Around 45 minutes added to appointment time. If you still aren't sure what level your art is send me the inspiration pictures via the contact form.
What is an IBX treatment?
There are two parts to the IBX treatment. Part one Stregthen works INSIDE the nail not on top. It penetrates into the upper layers of the nail and cross-links inside the nail to itself creating an Interpenetrating Polymer Network. Part two, repair; focuses on surface based treatment for damaged nails It does so by penetrating the walls of the damaged areas, IBX acts like “double-sided sticky tape” or “Velcro” that seals/holds damaged areas together.
What is a structured gel manicure?
What is the difference between a fill and a rebalance?
A fill is usually between two and three weeks. The apex(the highest part of the nail) has only moved slightly and it doesn't affect the time for the service. To rebalance essentially means moving the apex back to that last 1/3 of the nail. The longer they are the more we have to cut down, and more product will be needed. Essentially it is more time consuming than a traditional fill.
